The plant is located in Monteroni D'Arbia, that is 12 km far from Siena, on the ancient road Cassia, which has been connecting the Tuscany to Rome for centuries. The plant has been situated here to use the water source "Vivo dell' Amiata", which has high purity water so useful for the production of the pharmaceutical solutions.

The Company was located in Monteroni D'Arbia in 1980. For 50th anniversary of the Company, the plant was completely restructured, by adding advanced production lines to reach high quality standards, aligned to the european directives of the GMP.

The plant is on an area of 40.000 square meters owned by Perillo's family, where 10.000 square meters are covered. Half plant is dedicated to the sterile cleanrooms use dto fill bags, ampoules and bottles.

The production site can process a great quantity of chemicals in a short amount of time. The responsibility of all controls is handled by a specialised team with relevant experience.

In-process controls are performed during the manufacturing phase, according to the latest technological knowledge and based on our acquired experience. Quality of the manufacturing process is also assured by the periodically executed validations.

The control procedures as well as the raw material acceptance specifications have been defined according to the Good Manufacturing Practises and the most important Pharmacopoeias. During preparation of the finished product, tests of environmental type (verification of overpressure in the preparation rooms, number of particles and bacterial load) as well as chemical tests are performed. These tests, executed during the preparation, must show the product’s good quality in order to proceed to the next production phases.
