The Industria Farmaceutica Galenica Senese was established in 1949 starting from the intuition of two expert pharmacists of Siena, Aldo Vagnoli and Antonio Ducci, who found out the potential related to the industrialization of the developing of galenic soluzions.

The Company started as a small plant inside teh walls of the medioeval city of Siena.

In 1980 the plant was moved to Monteroni d’Arbia, near Siena.

At the beginning the '80, the Company was bought up by Svas Group, owned by Perillo family, and it continues to be part of the Group.

Today Galenica Senese is leader in developing and marketing of injectable solutions used in many applications fields. The products are sold both in Italy, where the Galenica Senese is the third Company producing infusional solutions, and abroad.
